The Inspiration
In 2019, Catherine woke up from a dream inspired to write a children’s story which ultimately became the first book in The Pearls of Wisdom Series called, The Pond of Reflection. This book has received two gold medals in 2022 and 2023 at the Readers’ Favorite International Book Awards, and a 2024 Book Excellence Award. Soon after she began her author journey, it became apparent that proceeds from book sales would help support infants and children in need around the world.
The Basketful Relief Project Beautiful Children’s Books to Feed Young Tummies and Minds
Also in 2019, Catherine spearheaded the Basketful Relief Project as a platform to showcase her children’s books and share her mission to support infants and children in need. She is currently working to establish the BRP Books Foundation, a private 501c3 that will be dedicated to supporting children through the percent proceeds of book sales now and as a legacy foundation.

To date, Catherine has written seven children’s books, with an eighth due out at the end of this year. She writes in two different genres: children’s picture books for babies to age seven, and pre-teen fantasy fiction with a moral twist. Specifically:

The mission of the Basketful Relief Project (BRP) is to author award-winning children’s books with percent proceeds from book sales supporting reputable organizations established to distribute food and medicine to infants and children in need who are experiencing war, food scarcity, or catastrophe displacement, through its BRP Books Foundation (private 501c3).
