Peppermint Stick Learning Company Inc.

Description

Hello! I’m Joy, a Christian homeschooling mom, curriculum designer, and blogger! My husband and I are in the midst of raising our 8 children. We began Peppermint Stick Learning Company Inc. when our oldest child was young, with a desire for lessons that truly stick for the long-term, are refreshing for a “real life” mom like me to use, and that have sweet simplicity and practicality to them!

Our family loves homeschooling with resources that fit what we call a “Peppermint Stick” style. (You can discover more about “Our Twist” on our website or in a video below.) Homeschooling should not be boring or overwhelming!

The “Peppermint Stick” style is very flexible and fun, often having a combination of various effective methods to help guide students and parents. We believe kids have the potential of learning so much and loving it too!

Delightful lessons are relevant to a child’s world and understandable in a child’s language. Relax in the freedom to teach with your own choices of literature. Enjoy projects, real life experiences, notebooks, meaningful worksheets, presentations, age-appropriate instructions, easy-to-read layouts/font-sizing, and simple pictures! How our curriculum is designed helps to gently train students to grasp the important skill of independent learning. Much of our curriculum can be rearranged as desired without difficulty, is self-paced, and uses around-the-home items!

Peppermint Stick Learning Company (PSLC) offers educational resources we have published plus others which we have previewed and recommend. We also offer sprinkles of encouragement, reviews, and practical teaching tips on our blog called “Encouragemints”. In 2021, as a ministry of PSLC, we added a website for sermons and colouring page printables, thewordinourhearts.com.

Come and take a little lick at “…lessons that stick with a refreshing touch of sweetness!”
